It's Sunday, and I've got a ton of things to do before I go to bed tonight:
  • Finish my homework
  • Do some work that I should've done on Friday
  • Pay bills and balance the checkbook
  • Walk the dog
  • Fill out the doggie boarding paperwork that I have to turn in to the dog hotel before I leave Devon there for a few days.
  • Iron the clothes that I'm gonna wear to work tomorrow
And my roommate is feeling all sorts of blue because today is his birthday and he had a fight with his girlfriend. So he's moping around, watching TV, lamenting about his wasted birthday. And honestly? I don't really give a shit. Because when I rented the room out, I didn't sign up to be a buddy, a friend, or a support group. I signed up to be a landlord.

I have two laptops going right now. This one, my personal one, where I'm typing this blog entry. Right next to it is my work laptop, which is connected to my office network and which is displaying the spreadsheet I need to finish and email off to coworkers before Monday morning.

But I feel so tired. I have no energy.

Maybe it's because I ate so damned much earlier this evening. I made a big batch of spaghetti sauce (enough to freeze multiple servings for later consumption) and ate a huge portion. Now it's all sitting in my stomach like a big lump of coal.

Maybe it's the weather. It's very warm today, but I'm avoiding turning the airconditioner on just in case that freak electric bill I received last time was actually valid.

Maybe it's because I'm missing Bill a lot. I miss him everyday, but today seems to be unusually bad. I think maybe it's because I'm going to be flying out to visit him in two weeks and I just can't wait. I'm excited like hell, but at the same time the excitement reminds me yet again that he's so far away.

Maybe it's because I'm dreading the fact that tomorrow is the start of yet another workweek. And because, at the end of the week, instead of having a normal weekend I will be on call. Yes. On call. For the entire weekend. 7 AM Saturday to 7 AM Monday. Damn it! I really, really, really hate my job because of the on call rotation.

So right now all I feel is lethargy. I have so much to do but I don't feel like doing anything other than curling up under the covers and going to sleep.

I think I'll go walk the dog...
